Celebrating Irish startups!

Dublin City shows the Way  for the StartUp Gathering 5 Oct 2015

It is great to be involved in organising an event for early stage businesses with LEO Dublin City, the enterprise department of Dublin City Council.

Again business owners of early stage startups are the focus of the event, no business celebs here claiming  starlight for themselves. A previous attendee of this event  likened it to a  “mini accelerator”, so great was the impact of listening to a wide range of speakers sharing their’ warts and all’ experiences.

Set to be one of the biggest national startup events in the world, Startup Gathering 2015 will take place across Ireland from the 5th to 10th October, with over 300 events being planned across 5 days, 5 industries and 5 cities, Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Galway, with the aim of championing the growth of the startup sector throughout Ireland.

StartUp In The City

Owners of 16 great businesses share their personal experiences of growing a company in the Capital City. This event happening in Wood Quay will be one of the first to kickstart the week of the StartUp Gathering.
Greg Swift, Head of Enterprise, Dublin City Council, comments “We are delighted to be involved in the StartUp Gathering, and to put forward such a wide range of companies willing to tell their tales. These companies are typical of the businesses we support, coming from technology, food, web and the creative industries sectors.”

“I based the design of this event on previous ‘Your Business Day’ showcases in Dublin’s Science Gallery”, says Billy Linehan, “and then we were heavily influenced by the format of the Dublin Web Summit – in its the early days.”

All businesses have been founded in the last 5 years, and have been supported by LEO Dublin City.

Our clients will be from all sectors, including:

The venue is in the Dublin City Council’s offices at Wood Quay. Places are free, so book today.
